Rev. Lorena Parrish is a fund raising and organizational development consultant for nonprofit's.
An ordained minister, Rev. Parrish is also currently serving as the Minister for Women and Youth Ministries
at Trinity Baptist Church in Brooklyn. Rev. Parrish also facilitates vocational discernment workshops and
workshops on developing youth & young adult leadership programs for universities and organizations nationwide,
including Claflin University, Fordham University, The Children's Defense Fund, the Episcopal Diocese of New York,
and American Baptist Churches USA.
Most recently, she held the position of Executive Director of Girls Incorporated of New York City, a non-profit
organization whose primary emphasis is to reach girls ages 6 to 18 throughout New York through partnerships and
direct service programs. Serving as the organization's CEO and spokesperson, Rev. Parrish was responsible for
managing the organization's overall strategic, financial and organizational planning and implementation.
She also served as the Director of Youth Ministries at The Riverside Church in New York City and was featured
In Essence Magazine In 1998 for her work with young girls.
Rev. Parrish holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University, a Master of Divinity and a Master in Philosophy
from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University.
She is currently completing a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology with a concentration in Womanist Studies at Union under
the advisorship of Dr. Delores S. Williams.
