Guy A. Robinson
Guy A. Robinson has worked in information technology for over thirty-five years. Among his accomplishments during this time; he has developed course materials and taught numerous courses in computer programming and information technology, managed large scale software development projects, been a speaker at career conferences, served on the Board of a national information technology association, been a founding member of local technology association, run a paid-internship placement program for college students working towards degrees in information technology and founded a computer software development company which has been in operation since 1982.

Guy is a Founding Mentor of the Moriah Institute's Rites of Passage program. He served with great enthusiasm in the early formation of the program which began in 1990 as part of the offerings for youth at The Riverside Church. In addition to mentoring youth and also sometimes mentoring the mentors, Guy helped to create and lead the Pathways and Choices workshop for youth in the program.

Guy is also an avid golfer; he is a certified golf instructor with the United States Golf Teachers Federation. Guy has shared his golf experience by coaching young people at two Harlem based after-school programs as well as at a Newark NJ based golf program. He has also served as Rules Chairperson, Head Official and Official Scorekeeper at local and regional golf tournaments for minority youth.

At a time when there are few places where young people can be positively influenced by the experience and dedication of African American males who are able to challenge them to reach for excellence, who exhibit a commitment to help them help themselves, who convey both personal integrity and genuine concern for their well being, Guy steps up to the plate. Over the years, he has touched the lives of hundreds of young people in the tri-sate area.
